Back in 2021, Noah listed his first spaces on Neighbor: his driveway and an unpaved lot that he repurposed into RV & boat storage. Now, he’s making $24,398/year from less than 5 hours of work each month. What’s next? He’s expanding by purchasing another lot he’ll use exclusively for Neighbor. “I’m addicted to it. It literally is limitless.”
What is Neighbor?
Neighbor is the largest peer-to-peer storage marketplace.
Hosts in all 50 states can rent out their extra space to generate passive income. List any extra space–from garages and sheds to driveways and unpaved lots.
Is Neighbor safe?
Yes, Neighbor is committed to safety. All hosts are covered by our $1M Host Guarantee, and renters are offered Property Protection Plans.
In the rare event that an issue arises, our Trust & Safety team is here to help.

How much can I earn on Neighbor?
The amount you can earn on Neighbor will depend on your location, your space type, and the size of your space. To maximize your earnings, list multiple different sizes and spaces. More listings = more earnings.
What makes Neighbor unique is how little time it takes. Unlike platforms such as Airbnb, storage is pretty passive.
😎 Pro Tip: Spaces for RV storage, car storage, and self-storage are in high demand.
How are renters screened?
As a Neighbor host, you’re in control over who rents, what they store, and when they can access your space.
Neighbor only matches you with renters storing items you’ve allowed and collects information about the renter and what’s being stored before they place a request.
Neighbor strictly prohibits renters from working or staying in a space.
💡 Pro Tip: When listing on Neighbor, be sure to designate your access hours and set your item restrictions.
What are Neighbor's fees?
Listing space on Neighbor is 100% free. We only make money when you do.
When you have a paying renter, Neighbor collects a processing fee (4.9% + $0.30) as part of your host payout. Renters also pay a small service fee when they book. In many areas, Neighbor also collects and pays a sales tax on your behalf.
